Southeast University–Monash University Joint Graduate School (Suzhou) (hereinafter referred to as the "JGS") is the first Chinese‑foreign joint graduate school approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, under the approval number of MOE32AUA02DNR20121197N. The campus is located in Dushuhu Science Education and Innovation Zone, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

Full‑time professional master’s degree graduates are to be enrolled by the JGS in 2026, with all enrolment quotas incorporated into the national graduate admission plan issued by the State.

II. Admission Requirements

1. Citizenship of the People’s Republic of China;

2. Support for the leadership of the Communist Party of China, abide by laws and regulations, and possess good moral character;

3. Meet the physical examination requirements stipulated by the State in terms of physical health status;

4. Hold a nationally recognized undergraduate graduation certificate and bachelor’s degree certificate (fresh undergraduate graduates shall obtain the relevant certificates no later than enrolment in 2026);

5. Have a good academic performance in undergraduate studies and competent abilities in English listening, speaking, reading and writing. All graduate students shall complete graduation projects or graduation theses/dissertations before graduation.

III. Examination and Admission

1. All candidates who meet the admission requirements shall register for and take the 2026 National Postgraduate Entrance Examination. Only those whose preliminary examination scores (including the total score and individual subject scores) reach the basic secondary examination requirements set by the JGS are eligible to take part in the secondary examination.

2. For candidates who pass secondary examination assessments, the Schools/Colleges shall determine the proposed admission list on the basis of merit with reference to the enrolment quota, detailed rules for secondary examination and admission, candidates’ comprehensive examination results, ideological and political quality and moral evaluation, as well as physical and mental health status.

IV. Training and Degrees

1. The program duration for all majors is three years, and the tuition fee is RMB 62,000 per student per academic year.

2. Scholarships and grants are established by the University. Full-time master's students of the Graduate School are entitled to participate in the scholarship and grant evaluation. Graduates who meet the relevant requirements within the program duration may apply for evaluation of the national scholarship, academic scholarship and other scholarships.

3. All courses specified in the joint training program are delivered entirely in English, jointly undertaken by teachers from Southeast University and Monash University. The joint training program contains an “English Degree Program (EDP)”.

Students are required to pass the assessment of this course during their studies; students who have met the English proficiency requirements of Monash University, with the examination result still within the two-year validity period at the time of enrolling in Monash University student status before the commencement of the Spring Semester 2027, may apply for exemption from study and examination of this course.

4. Within the prescribed study period, students shall complete all prescribed credits stipulated in the joint training programme, including the "English Degree Program(EDP)", with qualified academic results. Students shall meet the requirements specified in the full-time professional degree postgraduate training programme for the relevant major of Southeast University and pass the master’s degree thesis defence. Upon review and approval by the Academic Committee of Southeast University, students shall be awarded the Postgraduate Graduation Certificate and Professional Master’s Degree Certificate of Southeast University. Upon review and approval by Monash University, students shall be awarded the Master’s Degree (Coursework) Certificate of Monash University.
