The following materials should be submitted to the Subcommittees:
Graduate Degree Application Form (Form 1);
Graduate Thesis/Dissertation Evaluation Form (Form 2);
Voting Form for Graduate Theses/Dissertations; 2,000-word abstract (Chinese and English abstracts for doctoral students; Chinese abstract for master's students);
Tips: Students applying for doctoral programs must provide copies of their master's thesis evaluation forms and defense resolutions. They must keep copies of these documents. As the Graduate School does not provide them, they should go to the Archives Office if they need copies after graduation.
A graduate student should submit items 1-16 from his/her file pouch to the Graduate Secretary of a School/College (Department, Institute).
Three paper versions of doctoral dissertations and two paper versions of master's theses (the submitted theses/dissertations must be the final versions revised after the defense and approved by supervisors; both supervisors and students must sign in the designated sections). Upload the electronic versions of theses/dissertations to the Graduate School's Information Service System in accordance with the instructions in the file pouch. The classification number on the cover of the thesis/dissertation can be found on the website of Chinese Library Classification (www.ztflh.com). If it is approved to be classified as confidential, please fill in "Confidentiality Level and Confidentiality Until MM/YYYY" in the confidentiality section. The code of our university 10286 and a student ID should be indicated on the upper right corner of the cover. Students can access www.udcc.org and click "Outline" to find the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) number.
Upload the electronic versions of theses/dissertations to the Archive Office. For formatting guidelines regarding the electronic theses/dissertations (theses/dissertations in PDF are consistent with printed versions), please refer to the “Thesis/Dissertation Formatting Guidelines” section in the Graduate Student Handbook. Uploading process:
Step 1: Go to the Southeast University homepage-Archive Office-Online Submission System of Theses/Dissertations of Southeast University (or go directly to 211.65.44.55/lwtj), and click the “Submit” button.
Step 2: Fill in the title and abstract information of theses/dissertations, then click the “Submit Basic Information of Theses/Dissertations” button.
Step 3: Upload theses/dissertations and click the “Submit” button once all files have been uploaded.
If a network fault prevents students from submitting the electronic documents online, they may submit them to the Science and Technology Archive Room of the Archive Office on another medium and have them inspected in person to ensure they meet the requirements.
Graduate students whose theses/dissertations have been graded “Excellent” by the Defense Committee and recommended for selection as university-level outstanding theses/dissertations must submit the following materials:
(The materials of these students should be submitted to the Graduate Secretariats of the Schools/Colleges, which will then forward the materials to the Degree Office of the Graduate School based on the list of students recommended by the Academic Degree Evaluation Subcommittees)
(I)Required Materials for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations
1. Paper materials
(1) One copy of the doctoral dissertation, identical to the version archived at the National Library of China.
(2) The Recommendation Form for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations in Jiangsu Province and the Author Profile Form for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations in Jiangsu Province corresponding to each dissertation.
(3) A set of supporting materials for the representative achievements listed in the recommendation form, including: a list of achievements; copies of the covers, contents, and dissertations of publicly published academic papers (only first- and second-author dissertations; the corresponding retrieval proofs for those indexed in SCI and EI; the impact factor and the number of citations for those indexed in SCI); copies of the monograph covers and copyright pages; copies of award certificates or patent certificates. All other irrelevant materials should not be provided.
(4) Three copies of the anonymous review form for dissertations and one copy of the defense resolution.
Only one copy of each of the above printed materials is required.

(II) Required Materials for Outstanding Master's Theses
1. Paper materials
One copy of the master's thesis, identical to the version archived at the library of Southeast University.
(2) The Recommendation Form for Outstanding Master's Theses in Jiangsu Province and the Author Profile Form for Outstanding Master's Theses in Jiangsu Province corresponding to each thesis.
(3) A set of supporting materials for the representative achievements listed in the recommendation form, including: copies of the covers, contents, and theses of publicly published academic papers (only first- and second-author theses; the corresponding retrieval proofs for those indexed in SCI and EI; the impact factor and the number of citations for those indexed in SCI); copies of the monograph covers and copyright pages; copies of award certificates or patent certificates. (1) One copy of the professional master's thesis, identical to the version archived at the library of Southeast University.
(2) The Recommendation Form for Outstanding Master's Theses in Jiangsu Province and the Author Profile Form for Outstanding Master's Theses in Jiangsu Province corresponding to each thesis.
(3) A set of supporting materials covering published academic papers, award-winning programs, and monographs, including copies of the covers, contents, and first pages of theses of the five academic papers listed in the “Achievements” section; copies of research reports, planning and design documents, and product development documents; and copies of award certificates and patent certificates.
(4) One copy of the anonymous review form for theses and one copy of the defense resolution.
Only one copy of each of the above printed materials is required.

To facilitate the participation process for the outstanding doctoral dissertations and master's theses in Jiangsu Province, applicants for the outstanding doctoral dissertations and master's theses of Southeast University should use the Recommendation Form for Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations in Jiangsu Province, the Recommendation Form for Outstanding Master's Theses in Jiangsu Province and so on. Any changes to the forms used for applications for provincial outstanding thesis/dissertations will be notified separately.
